Cherry Blossom Study
The first in a new weekly series, Studio Sundays, where I work on a new study every week, releasing it on a Sunday at 4pm.
After working daily for the past 50 pieces, I’ve moved into watercolour, ink and mixed media, allowing each piece more space and attention.
This piece is inspired by the brief window of cherry blossom season. For only 2 weeks a year we get to see pink blooms on branches and the ground. A great reminder we’re not all showing our brightness all the time, but when the time’s right, we have a chance to shine. Here’s to hibernating for the other 50 weeks of the year! Joking.
