Ellie the Giraffe

from £12.00
sale

This huge painting (80 x 110cm) was created in oil paints on a canvas. The bright blue-green background contrasts with the caramel, ochre colours of the giraffe. An impasto technique has been used to build colour and texture.

The original is framed in a hand-crafted white tray frame with ‘floating’ canvas.

Ellie was named by a student I worked with when teaching visual art to a group of teenagers at a summer programme in 2019. At the end of the 4 weeks I asked one student what she thought my giraffe painting should be called. She said ‘Ellie’.

If you would like to see the painting in person before purchasing or you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to contact me to arrange a viewing.

Prints are available in A3 and A4 sizes and are posted in a cellophane pocket with cardboard backing to keep them protected and in good condition when posting.

Painted in 2019.
