The Humpback Whale Family

from £15.00

This little Humpback Whale family is my most recent painting in this collection. I loved having mum and baby swimming together to create a really heartwarming artwork. Perfect for any room in the house.

The painting was created using ink on hot-pressed watercolour paper. I used a dip pen with black ink for the small details and mixed blues and purples to get the stream of midnight water.

Humpback Whales are known for their magical songs that carry through the ocean. They also used to be very endangered with only 10,000 left but due to global conservation efforts, the population is now thought to be approx 80,000.

The original painting has sold, but there are still prints available in A4 or A3.

Feedback on the print quality has been brilliant - the colour match is spot on and they’re printed on thick art paper.

Prints are sent in a cellophane wrapper with cardboard sheet to keep them protected and in good condition. You can also pick up from the Glasgow studio, if you’d prefer.
